As an engaged alum you can give NRCSA vital information for us to continue to improve our programs and sponsor more and more immersion experiences abroad. As an engaged alum, we invite you to contribute to the NRCSA Alumni Network a step further all from the comfort of your home! Such options for continued involvement are described below.

YOUR ROLE OPTIONS

  • Media Contributor

As a NRCSA Alum, you can contribute to future programs by sharing photos and writing pieces that you collected while going abroad. Photos are a powerful way to convey your experience to others, and your photos will be used to share with past and future students. You can also write articles about the many things you learned abroad to be published on our newsletter and posted to our a blog.

  • Ambassador

As an Ambassador, you have the important and fun opportunity to recruit other students. You can be an Ambassador simply by suggesting a NRCSA program to a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or fellow student. All you have to do is refer someone to a NRCSA program, and you immediately get $40 as a thanks from NRCSA when they register. You even have the chance organize a group trip and receive a voucher for your portion of the trip.

  • A Voice

As a Voice, you have the ability to directly influence NRCSA programming. You can, for example, help by working on a guide for studying abroad in the location you studied in. You can even weigh in on the types of activities offered for NRCSA students. You can work alongside Program Coordinators to answer questions, and start a mentorship to a new student. You must be an established engaged alum before being able to be a Voice.

  • Steering Committee

As a member of the prestigious Steering Committee, you are able to be a part of decisions that influence the future of NRCSA programs. We believe that we can best serve the interests of today’s travelers by responding to the current interests of those we have worked with. This is an opportune chance to take part of something larger at NRCSA. Applications can be received by contacting study@nrcsa.com or by being nominated by a Program Coordinator.

Get Leadership Experience

As an Engaged Alum you have the chance to take the knowledge you acquired while abroad and apply it at home. Being an Ambassador, a Voice, or a member of the Steering Committee are important roles that to add to your resume. All of these various involvement opportunities give you the chance to use your skills in a formal leadership capacity.

Take Part in Something Big

At NRCSA, we highly value your opinion. By entering into dialog with us about the our programs, you have the ability to influence future programs. You can work hands-on to get a travel group together and even weigh in on our latest ventures and projects.

Help New Students

It can be very rewarding to offer help and advice to other students. As a Voice and an Ambassador you can directly facilitate a successful study abroad experience for someone else. After knowing what it is like to go abroad, you can share your wisdom with others. It will certainly be appreciated.
